Habits but … we have to accept

Ok ... not only perfection!I saw some habits from the Filipinos that made me wish to kick them, hehehehe
Their addition to mobiles - that for a European would be non education and bad manners. You just have to accept. They talk on the phone even when are eating, even when they receive people, even when are in some formal dinner. Formality in terms of Europeans standards do not exists, hum? In terms of protocol and etiquette we have to have that in mind. They are like Beach people. Relaxed all the time, late all the time and on the phone. They do not eat they devours food as fast as the concord. So if you go there with local friends, just eat less or do not ask food just share with them. Be prepared to eat like an animal - a lot and at the same time. And be prepared to use your hands for the food, the filipinos do not cut with fork and knife they just eat with the hands. In that point, I found a lot of things similar to the Indonesia, once they use fork and spoon (not knife). But the big difference was the speed. I was stunned when I saw a gentleman eating so fast while speaking on the phone, having his IPod phones on and grabbing his friend in front of him. He had just two hands I am sure. Do not expect from the Filipinos delicate or good behavior in OUR Europeans Patterns! Just watch and learn. So that’s why I daily think that is more important to understand, accept and know the differences between different people and some of them are our friends. That is the richness of the world, we have tobe humble and open minded,it is the only way to appreciate the beauties of our world and the differences between the people. These are small peanuts compared to richness and wonderful people and land that I found in the Philippines. This is just behavior that explains a lot about people’s posture in the world and also their economic factor. People in general tend to minimize behaviors but they are the "must" of understanding others, to dialogue worldwide and as an explanation of the countries conduct and figure in the international society.
I always heard … tell me what you eat I will tell you how you are.

I am in Love with the Philippines

I am just in love with the Philippines. For my style of life and way of being is the perfect place to be. We can put a lot of defects, in fact for normal human beings it is easier to put a lot of defects instead of looking for the bright side. I had the chance to see both the bright and the dark and this last one it is just part of the society as any society in the world. The brighten one is so powerful so strong that the makes the Philippines a wonderful place to visit, see and live. Where we can easily open our hearts and fall in love. With the food, the people, the smiles, the beaches, the shopping…the JUICE FRUITS!!!!! Coconut and Mango. I am not kidding, the best mango I ever tasted. And I am not a mango person. Better, I was not a mango person. Now I am a Philippines Mango Person. Ehehehehehe

THE PHILIPPINES

I have a lot of information and pictures about the philippines on the following posts just because I just love it!!!!!!!
a bit of history first
The Philippines is an island nation located in Southeast Asia, and Manila as its I learned that the Philippine Archipelago comprises 7,107 islands in the western Pacific Ocean and has more or less 88 million plus a lot more around the world for now impossible to count. ~
Filipinos are mostly of Austronesian descent, but there are significant Chinese, American, Spanish, and Arab
In terms of history the Philippines became a Spanish colony in the 16th century, and then a U.S. colony after the Spanish-American War and the Philippine-American War. The Philippines are much like us the westerns because of the influences Spain, the Portuguese Magalhães who was in the Spanish boats when discovered the archipelago, Latin America, and the United States. I thought it was a very American population, with a lot of influences. More than I would expect. The behavior the daily life and the attitudes. It was like being out of Asia sometimes. They are Catholics but some pre-Hispanic indigenous religious practices and Islam is seen. I really enjoyed the language Tagalog mixed with a lot of English and Spanish and an incredible Portuguese pronourtiations. That shows how Portugal and Spain in the 16th century were speaking a lot similar than nowadays.
The islands are divided into three island groups: Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. There are three recognized seasons: Tag-init - hot season from March to May, Tag-ulan - the rainy season from June to November and Taglamig - the cold season from December to February. I am still not going much around the typhoons ehehehe from May to October, but this year the worst was in august.

Guanzhou Zen

The sixth patriarch of Zen Buddhism was born in Guangzhou, taught the famous Platform Sutra there, and established a monastery to the north of the city, Guangzhou has maintained a strong connection with this school of Buddhism.

Still GuangZhou

Guangzhou

Formerly known as Canton in the West, the city of Guangzhou has a history with more 2,500 years. The origins of the city are lost in time. One of the most popular legend tells of five celestial beings riding into the area that is now Guangzhou on five rams and carrying sheaves of rice. The celestials bestowed blessings on the land and offered the sheaves to the people of the city as a symbol of prosperity and abundance. After the celestials left, the rams turned into stone, and Guangzhou quickly developed into an affluent and influential city. Historical records say that the city was built in 214BC and was known as Panyu (番禺). The name Guangzhou actually referred to the prefecture in which Panyu was located. As a major sea port we find a thick history: In 786 the city was sacked by the Persians, while in 1711 the British East India Company established a trading post there. In 1842 the Treaty of Nanjing was signed, which designated the city as one of the five ports that allowed business transactions with foreign nations. Guangzhou was also part of the so called "Maritime Silk Road" that linked southern China with India, South-East Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. As a result of the links with the Middle East, a mosque was established in the city in 627, and a small Muslim community continues to this day. Cantonese cuisine is well-known. In particular, dim sum. Local customs have also played a major role in the development and diversity of Cantonese cuisine, as it is often said that Cantonese people eat everything that swims except a submarine, everything that flies except an airplane, and everything with four legs except a table.
