THE PHILIPPINES

I have a lot of information and pictures about the philippines on the following posts just because I just love it!!!!!!!
a bit of history first
The Philippines is an island nation located in Southeast Asia, and Manila as its I learned that the Philippine Archipelago comprises 7,107 islands in the western Pacific Ocean and has more or less 88 million plus a lot more around the world for now impossible to count. ~
Filipinos are mostly of Austronesian descent, but there are significant Chinese, American, Spanish, and Arab
In terms of history the Philippines became a Spanish colony in the 16th century, and then a U.S. colony after the Spanish-American War and the Philippine-American War. The Philippines are much like us the westerns because of the influences Spain, the Portuguese Magalhães who was in the Spanish boats when discovered the archipelago, Latin America, and the United States. I thought it was a very American population, with a lot of influences. More than I would expect. The behavior the daily life and the attitudes. It was like being out of Asia sometimes. They are Catholics but some pre-Hispanic indigenous religious practices and Islam is seen. I really enjoyed the language Tagalog mixed with a lot of English and Spanish and an incredible Portuguese pronourtiations. That shows how Portugal and Spain in the 16th century were speaking a lot similar than nowadays.
The islands are divided into three island groups: Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. There are three recognized seasons: Tag-init - hot season from March to May, Tag-ulan - the rainy season from June to November and Taglamig - the cold season from December to February. I am still not going much around the typhoons ehehehe from May to October, but this year the worst was in august.
