RED DOT AWARDS
For this year red dot awards the jury evaluated a total of 884 submissions from 46 countries and distinguished 105 with a red dot award. Another eighteen received the distinction red dot: best of the best for highest design quality. The latter are automatically nominated for the competition’s premium award red dot: luminary, the winner of which will be announced at the awards ceremony on 30 November.
Intelligent solutions, packaged in clean design
the designers of this year’s winning concepts focus on the essentials. Clean, sober design without technical gimmicks prevails, whether the aim is to simplify tasks at work or at home or to contribute to areas such as education and leisure.
The design each every day more GREEN environment friendly like the project presented by the team of Instant architects from Switzerland “UNITED BOTTLE”, a novel concept that implements used water bottles as a building material in crisis regions such as refugee camps. It was outstanding, I felt...

HEALTH
In the Design Awards I was surprised by the health self consciousness of humans. I can speak by myself. I never thought about biological food, or take care of myself much, or sports, or big diseases. But helping people is in the centre of my life too. I was please that it is in the centre of life of the design itself. A collaboration between Pelin Celik and Pilotfish created a Alzheimer’s “Senso a companion for life “a product for is a slowly progressing disease that is Alzheimer, this product .reduces the frustration by means of a discretely worn device that allows patients to be more independent.

YESTERDAY
The awards ceremony of red dot award - design concept 2007 was yesterday, 30 November in the red dot design museum in Singapore. It was a nice event that hosted international guests from design, culture, and business. The only criticism that I have t was in terms of the organization seats. After the 19h Cocktail, the awards were ready to be given away. SO the doors opened to let people in. The problem was that each Seat had a name, and 50% of the people did not have a number or an indication where their Seat was. So it was bit messy until the moment that the voice off announced THE AWARDS ARE GOING TO BEGIN and everybody seated everywhere.

O sistema de indicação dos assentos não foi eficiente. Fico pensando, por que a organização do evento decidiu adotar tal marcação de lugares.
Adorei a fachada com as venezianas.
