PHOTO CLUB

Its great to have new friends that share the same interests as you, even, in another corner of the world!
Actually ... Like I always write, home is where you can have your freedom, where you can be yourself, were you do not need justifications for your actions.

To Cafe Ou Cha

It is a revolutions today inside of me I just cannot sleep so I went to take some more pictures of Our beautiful world!

Today I kept thinking about time because a friend is fighting with it. Do you remember me fighting with the time?
So I remembered my piano, the guitar, our wonderful groupe of Jazz, the CAFE OU CHA.
Guys, I miss playing! a kiss for you Remi, Michal, Lio, Oliv and Ivo! I am steady with Ella and Some Diana Krall and of course our Bossa! I went to jam a bit at the bar next to my place...VIVA CAFE OU CHA, I played some of our songs: the battle of angels, sambajazz and one Fado.
I remember our fight with time! To work, to live, to creat, to jam....
Your little sunshine cannot forget our tunes!

GOODNIGHT

Today I just leave you with some old pictures. From the carnival ball of the Portuguese officials around 1955 in Macao, the shining history of our port and our sea souls. Deepen around one identity. A name that is a print of the Portuguese greatness, now hang on the all of the military house that used to be by the sea. Now it is in a middle of a huge avenue surrounded by Casinos. I discussed a lot about identity and names these days. That it so important for us in general. I heard stories that people made mistakes on writing given names and surnames dor a babyborn, exchanges names because of misspelling, the grandmother's name was given to the brother and the father forgot to give his name to the son, I found a non a harmonized system to know who we are around the world. But I was told that identity it is just flour diluted in water, identity represents our hearts and souls, represents the human being. That it is my identity, the one I build in each step I give, the one I sculpt with the history I learn, the one I just grab with all my power of concretization. That is my identity. That arrives everyday with my small steps into my designed life.
The one we can all have just because we are we.
I feel myself nowadays, in a way I was never felt before. Maybe because I dive into the past that my heart is made from. The Portuguese discoveries around the unknown seas.

PAST

History it is not about the past. It is the explanation of what we are, and who we will became. Sometimes the present and the future are able to change some constitution of our minds, but never the path we came from.

ARTE

THE KITSCH HORROR

The kitsch awfully Venetian Hotel, one of the always shining casinos of Macau, the American Las Vegas horror invasion… Check out the fake sky always Blue! I was never here before this year - in this lost land of the Portuguese former colony - but everyone that I talk to, just feeling noxious, melancholic and sad with this transformation of the romantic Macao into the Orient Las Vegas. It is proroguing some depressions around here.

JUST SOME DAILY PICTURE PORTFOLIO

LIFE

Sometimes we ask things about life. About the experiences that ¨she¨our life put in our way. When we are far away from home or from the place we always called home, make us think about the goldenness in our hearts. Life is so weak and rich. So strong.
But for sure I have learned those days, that we do not have control of things - no control of each single minute. The only control we have, it is the decision we take how to live this single minute or this mountain of hope. That’s why the place we call home it is between us. It is with us everywhere we go. It is in our personal equilibrium, our faithful spirit, our focus mind. I always consider myself as a paradox. It was very strange to live in my skin with the economic sense and organization and the artistic part so developed at the same time. It was so profound. That almost obligated me to make choices from each part of the brain. But as I told before, we cannot control the feelings we receive from our heart, from our perception, from our paradox choices. They are intrinsic to us, to our spot for life, to our decisions for each day. So the only choices we should make are the ones that depend of us…the rest that depend of our hearts should be followed with closed eyes. Those are the ones that give us the sureness of our logical and sometimes paradox world. We are lucky people! We have a heart, we have a brain and we have the power of choice!

Hong Kong Museum if History

HK History Museum focuses on territory history, natural resources. We really learn a lot about HK but also how the territory presents his history to the world. Once more it is fascinating seeing Portuguese references along the way! Our light XV century!
The films about the Japanese Invasion, the several Typhoon destructions, the no water supplies, the difficulties that the territory passed until what it is today are amazing. It made me understand better the spirit and way of being of this people that suffered too much.

A Ignorancia exagera o estado do bom e o estado do mau das coisas.

The world of Susie Wong

I cross the same roads as Susie Wong did, the same cafes, the same club ... nowadays it is just susie wong road.

For the ones that do not know, the World of Suzie Wong is a 1957 novel written by Richard Mason, which has been adapted into a play, a hit film, and a ballet.

The book is about a young Englishman, Robert Lomax, who has just decided to pursue a new career as an artist. He visits Hong Kong in search of inspiration where he checks into the Nam Kok Hotel, not realising, at first, that it is an unofficial brothel catering mainly to British and American sailors. However, the discovery of that fact only makes the hotel more charming in Lomax's opinion and a better source of subject matter for his paintings. He quickly befriends most of the hotel's bargirls but is most fascinated by the archetypal "hooker with a heart of gold" ...

LETTER FOR YOU

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

Thank you for your emails. It is very nice to know that you are ok and to know your news. I am very well. Things are very different but at the same time very stimulating and unique. I keep travelling a lot and also trying to take the maximum experience from the rewarding opportunity that life gave me this 2007. As you know you can keep updated with my blog inesblu.blogspot.com
I presented my small book Alice e Artur in Macau and I met some interesting people at the University of Macau, some Portuguese with an enormous experience of China life and stories to tell. I just love good stories.
The work it is simply amazing, I am always doing what I love the best reading, writing, researching around from a place to another like a nonstop bird. You know me, so, I am in my waters. Still it is very intense; I get this amount of feelings, work, and information at the same time. Minds are very different from European ones. People work very hard and long hours too but they are less stressed than we do so I keep learning that everyday among the power of concentration; but we have fun in the crowded bars after work. Sometimes I have to take the Design Walk by night, meaning picturing and interviewing the owners and color users and the meaning of application in each bar, restaurant, company or Shop. That I feel that is a big continuity of the work I have done in Milan. I am happy regarding the collaborations with the magazines I have, so I keep writing and organizing every single day. It is so much information sometimes that I need couple of hours to breathe. It is like an injection of new things that get stacked in the skin so the best is to seat in front of the river and breathe. So I kind got my contemplation skill again, that I thought I have lost. Actually I can stop to Digest nowadays! That’s a good thing … and … I go to Yoga every single morning before the day begins, so answering many of you: YES IM TAKING CARE OF MY SELF!!

NATURE CREATIVITY WORK WALK

ELGIN STREET 24 - MY APARTMENT

This is my street at 7 am in morning in a Sunday, maybe the only hour it is an empty place. Elgin Street, in the middle of Soho. It is the middle of the buzz, of the expat living, the restaurants, the bars, the place of the Jazz. Where people play guitar in the middle of the street, where well dressed expats go for the weekly drink after the work, where the laughter is, where we can enjoy ourselves but also people watching, it is a mix between western and Asians! Amazing place. Lucky me!
It is a street that mix the flavor of Asian life and European spirit.

Different words bring in different ideas and lead your thinking in different directions.
In HK I found that people has still the power of contemplation
